In the past the Church of St. Peter and Paul was considered one of the most beautiful Baroque churches in Slovenia. However, in January 1945 it was almost completely destroyed by allied bombs.  Only part of the presbytery remained of the original church.

For their 75th anniversary, the Minorites renovated the presbytery, where in the following years masses were held.  In recent years the main nave of the church has been under renovation and has already begun to take on the image of a modern church.
